Bachelor of Arts in Media Production & Journalism
The Bachelor of Arts in Media Production & Journalism at Dubois College is a dynamic,
practice-based program designed to cultivate the next generation of storytellers, journalists, and
digital creators rooted in Black cultural traditions and a commitment to social justice. This
interdisciplinary program prepares students to critically examine media systems, report with integrity,
and produce content that empowers marginalized communities.
Combining the study of media theory with hands-on training in journalism, podcasting, video
production, editing, and multimedia storytelling, the program centers Black voices and experiences
often underrepresented in mainstream media. Students are encouraged to explore how media can
be used to shape narratives, shift culture, and advocate for equity.
Graduates will be equipped to work in journalism, film, radio, social media, public relations, or
pursue advanced study in media studies, communications, or journalism.
