Role of the Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is responsible for:
✅ Strategic Planning & Institutional Growth – Guiding the vision and long-term development of Dubois College.
✅ Academic & Financial Oversight – Ensuring the institution maintains high academic standards and sound financial management.
✅ Fundraising & Community Partnerships – Supporting resource development, donor engagement, and scholarship opportunities.
✅ Governance & Policy Leadership – Establishing policies that align with accreditation requirements and institutional goals.
✅ Student & Faculty Advocacy – Promoting student success, faculty excellence, and community impact.
Board Structure & Membership
As Dubois College grows, the Board of Trustees will consist of 9-21 members, including higher education leaders, business executives, community advocates, and industry professionals. The Board will be composed of:
- Chairperson – Provides overall leadership and strategic direction for the Board.
- Vice-Chairperson – Assists in governance and policy development.
- Secretary – Ensures compliance with meeting documentation and institutional records.
- Treasurer – Oversees financial planning, budgeting, and endowment management.
- General Board Members – Experts in education, business, philanthropy, law, social justice, and economic development.
